And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark,

he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed.

Mark 1:35 (ESV)

And after he had dismissed the crowds,

he went up on the mountain by himself to pray.

When evening came, he was there alone,

Matthew 14:23 (ESV)

When we accept Jesus’ invitation to DRAW NEAR to Him, we will  be seeing that prayer was central in His life.

Jesus often started His day early by centering His life with the Father.

Jesus also prayed into the night and some times all night.

Today, is a good day to spend the whole day with Jesus, by taking a walk, getting away.   Get your chores done and give the rest of the day to Bible reading, praying and journaling.

Today it is important to think about rising early with Jesus because tomorrow is Daylight Savings Time and we will all be moving our clocks forward an hour and maybe getting a little less sleep.

As important as rest is to Jesus, prayer is even more important.

Don’t forget to set your clocks tonight and prepare for a great day of worship, preaching and fellowship tomorrow.
