Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for he who promised is faithful.
Hebrews 10:23 (ESV)
The saying is trustworthy, for:
If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
if we are faithless, he remains faithful— for he cannot deny himself.
2 Timothy 2:11-13 (ESV)
“Who then is the faithful and wise servant,
whom his master has set over his household,
to give them their food at the proper time?
Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes.
Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions.
Matthew 24:45-47 (ESV)
What is FAITHFULNESS? It is being dependable, and constant. It is doing what you say you are going to do. It is doing what you are suppose to do. It is being who you are suppose to be.
The scriptures often declare that God is faithful, but very few people are declared faithful in scripture. In the 2 Timothy passage, the language suggests us to anticipate that if we are faithless, then God will be faithless. But God is FAITHFULNESS. He does what he says he is going to do. He is who He says He is. His promises are “Yes and Amen.”
I don’t know that we are in the end times, but if the Lord returns soon or I die soon, I want to be and I want us to be FAITHFUL and WISE servants who are doing what we are suppose to do and being whom we are suppose to be.
Just like the other fruit that is poured into us, God is in us. His faithfulness, His character is being developed within us as we strive to be who He wants us to be and do what He wants us to do in these challenging days. Let’s be FAITHFUL.
Think about God’s faithfulness in your life.
Pray for your spiritual and governmental leaders.
Pray that our church family will be FAITHFUL.
Please pray for God to be a light in this dark world by God’s FAITHFULNESS in you.
What is one thing for which you are grateful?
