FRUIT OF KINDNESS
“I have loved you with an everlasting love;
I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.
Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV2011)
Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up.
Proverbs 12:25 (NIV2011)
It is the fruit of the Spirit. God is kind to us. As He pours His love, joy, peace and patience into us, His kindness fills us up as well. As we meditate on His love and kindness, it increases our ability to be kind to others. Others who may not deserve it any more than we do.
This is a great time to cheer people up with kind words. I think it will cheer you up as well.
If you have trouble being kind, try thinking about God’s kindness to you and be thankful for it all day. His kindness will find its way to others. But let’s be really intentional about it today. Let’s be kind and cheer people up with kind words.
Try these words on someone.
“Your job must be really tough, right now. God bless you and thank you.”
Please continue to pray for all leaders.
Please pray for our church family to grow in kindness.
Please be kind and say and encouraging word to someone today.
What is one thing for which you are grateful?
