THE FRUIT OF JOY AND PEACE
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing,
so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Romans 15:13 (ESV)
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice.
Let your reasonableness be known to everyone.
The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything,
but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4-7 (ESV)
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits,
without partiality and without hypocrisy.
Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace
by those who make peace.
James 3:17-18 (NKJV)
Does any one need some peace right now. I pray that the God of hope fills you with all peace and joy so that you may abound in hope.
These passages need little explaining. This time has been challenging for me, as I have had to deal with several people with strong opinions and anxieties, while I struggle with my strong opinions and anxieties. Some times, I have been irritable and angry. Some times, God has helped me to be peaceable and gentle and even willing to yield. I think God has helped me to find and give some mercy. Maybe not all the time, but some times.
I am growing during this time. I hope you are too.
Where could you focus your attention to have more of the peace of God?
When are times you need to be more peaceable and gentle?
Please continue to pray for all your leaders.
Please pray for our church family to continue to grow during this time and grow especially in pursuing peace and gentleness and mercy with each other.
Please pray for God to open you eyes to the one He wants you to minister to today.
What is one thing for which you are grateful, today?
