DAY 22

Wednesday - March 25, 2020

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love,

just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.

These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you,

and that your joy may be full.

John 15:10-11 (ESV)

Though you have not seen him, you love him.

Though you do not now see him,

you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible

and filled with glory,

obtaining the outcome of your faith,

the salvation of your souls.

1 Peter 1:8-9 (ESV)

This is something else that neither the enemy or any other person than yourself can take away from you.   God’s love and God’s joy.

His joy in us.

It is interesting that we are not talking about our joy in God,  but Gods’s joy is put in us.   And God wants it to be full.

Is that JOY being challenged in these days?

I have had to make decisions in these last few days that I never imagined I would have to make.   I have never gone through something like this.

Thank you God for  trusting me to work through this with my family, friends and my church family.   It has been hard on us, but we are going to be closer.  We will have a closeness that comes from having gone through a battle together.    Although the battle may be tough, the joy is going to be greater.   Help me.  Help us tap into the joy right now.

An inexpressible JOY is ours for the taking.

The Fruit of the Spirit is a lot like the Promised Land.   The children of Israel were mightily and powerfully delivered out of the hands of the Egyptians by the Lord.   They were promised a land of milk and honey.  God called it the Promised Land, because He promised it.    But a funny thing happened when they crossed over the Jordan River to enter and take the Promised Land.  God stopped providing quail and manna and they had to fight to take possession of the land.

God saves us from our sin, but acquiring the Fruit of the Spirit requires our efforts and fighting for them.

God is helping our Fruit grow right now.

Please keep praying for all our leaders.

Please pray that our church family will have joy and grow in joy.

Please pray for people all around us.   God may want to reach people through you this week.

What is one thing for which you are grateful.
