DAY 21

Tuesday - March 24, 2020

Greater love has no one than this,

that someone lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:13 (ESV)

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son,

that whoever believes in him should not perish

but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (ESV)

This is something that can’t be taken away from you.   But it is something you can give, if you have it.   Before you can love, AGAPE kind of love, you have to receive it from God.

If a debt is forgiven, someone has to absorb that debt.   If someone is owed $1000 and they forgive that debt, then they have just paid for that debt.   We owe God and he has forgiven us through the obedience, suffering and death of His own Son Jesus.

The more we understand our debt of sin and rebellion, they more we understand God’s love for us.

The scriptures above are the very words of Jesus.   Jesus is telling us what love is and to how far the Father and Jesus are to get that love to us.

Don’t ever say “Nobody loves me for who I am.”   The Father does.  Jesus does.

Try to be conscious today as much as you can about this love for you.  Read these passages often.   Say it often.  “God loves me.”    “Jesus loves me.”   Think about this about it all day.   No matter what is going on today.  Live in the warmth and reality of this great love.

You might feel like you don’t deserve it.   If that is you, you are in a long line with other people who feel the same.

However, the truth is that no matter how you feel, you are really loved with the greatest love imaginable.   Keep convincing yourself of this awesome truth.

Are you living out of the present reality of restriction or living out of the present reality of God’s love in a day of restriction?

Please continue to pray for wisdom and our church and governmental leaders.

Please pray that our church family will  know and grow in this AGAPE love.

Please pray for our outreach in these very days and the future.

Write down one thing  for which you are grateful.
