BE STILL AND KNOW
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”
Psalm 46:10 (ESV)
We are so busy and so easily distracted. One reason to turn off technology for a while is to give us some time to protect us from the bombardment of suggestions for things to do and experience and think about. This can get even more intense during an election cycle. Technology wants you to buy something, eat something or get really angry at something or someone (the other political party). We are not suggesting to be ignorant or in denial of what is happening in the world. We are encouraging you to not be ignorant of what is going on in God’s heart and mind for the world.
Today, why not take your time to just be still and quiet and listen.
Have a piece of paper to jot down the thoughts of things that need to be done or dealt with, so that you can forget about them until after the still and quiet time. Also to write down any thoughts that might be from God.
Write your thoughts or a prayer.
Please pray for our church family to be STILL and to KNOW God better.
Please continue to pray for the outreach event April 11, 2020
Write down one thing for which you are grateful.
