A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
Proverbs 25:28 (ESV)
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid,
but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV2011)
God is forcing a repentance upon my life. And I hope on your life, also. I used to go through my day careless and thoughtless. I didn’t think about washing my hands much. I grew up eating dirt and not thinking anything of it. I didn’t think about what might happen if I came in contact with almost anything. Now I have to pay constant attention to some mini microbes that I can’t even see. Now I have to think about what might happen if I get the virus on me and in me and transfer it to others who may be even less able to withstand the sickness that it can bring.
I have to practice SELF CONTROL in a way I never dreamed of having to do.
Lately, I have began to relate the virus to sin. I think God wants me to see the virus like sin. Don’t even get close to it. Wash it off right away.
Cleanse yourself. Have the Lord inspect me to make sure I am not carrying sin and don’t even know it. Worse yet, I might be infecting someone else with this deadly SIN.
COVID 19 is bad and I want each of you to take it seriously and practice SELF CONTROL. Sin is worse and more deadly. I want us to take it seriously and to learn to practice SELF CONTROL
Without our community can be destroyed physically and spiritually.
How serious are you taking this virus and how it may affect your life and the lives of the people you come in contact with?
How serious are you taking SIN and how it can affect your life and the lives of the people with whom you come in contact?
Please pray for you spiritual and governmental leaders.
Please pray for our church family and our community to take the virus seriously and SIN ever more seriously.
Please pray for opportunities to help people think about this.
What is one thing for which you are grateful?
